God found in a small village in India

by Jack Email

God was discovered yesterday in Bhubaneswar, a small village in India. The excited villagers are so far refusing to turn Him over to authorities. Ramesh Mishra, a priest of the temple there has stated, "We will not allow anyone to take Him away from us."

It turns out that this appearance of God is in fact Lord Jagannath, a Hindu diety. Lord Jagannath has apparently been incarnated as a sea turtle. In an unusual turn of events, sea turtles are protected in India, and it is illegal to keep or confine one. While authorities work to free the sea turtle from the villager's grasp, one is left to consider Lord Jagannath's intent in coming to the villagers and how fortunate The Lord was in navigating to India where he would be recognized despite his turtle-like guise.

I know for a fact that had he washed up on the banks of the Delaware River in Philadelphia he could have been mistaken for a turtle and turtle soup would have been a rather ignominious end.
