Who's all here?
Texas, Mexico, and Russia... Linux and cocktails are the hits here by far. I just wanna let y'all know we'll be working to revitalize the Cocktail of the Week. I know I've been hittin' the Linux pretty hard. What can I say... it's free, bourbon ain't.
Hello to Utah and North Carolina too by the way!
Our most popular cocktail so far has been the Pussycat! Check it out!
On the Linux side, it's the Pros and Cons. Worth the read even if you don't care who's controlling your computer.
Thanks for stopping by... I really mean it.

Cocktail of the Week!
It's two days until Christmas and quite frankly, there is still time for you to make another eggnog. You owe it to yourself, because it's been a rotten year. The previous recipe is a smooth, easily drinkable version that is higher in alcohol than cream. The recipe for today is totally different in both taste and creaminess. This is the nog that Alice's mother makes every Christmas Eve and it's always excellent. Thick and rich, this is one to savor slowly, with cookies if possible.

Cocktail of the Week!
There has been a request for a cocktail of the week with more of a holiday spirit... dare I say Christmas spirit? None of you will get all bent out of shape by the mention of the actual reason we are having a holiday next week? If the use of the word Christmas offends you, I do have an alternative link which may or may not be "safe for work" depending on where you work that includes no holiday cheer. It does include some guy's rantings on why Christmas is bad I guess, I didn't read it to be honest.
So what have I got for the ones still standing here, empty cups in hand? Cheer! Christmas cheer for all in the form of thick, creamy egg nog.

Cocktail of the Week!
I have to admit that I was not looking forward to writing today's cocktail of the week. All of my top 10 favorite drinks cocktails have been covered already. On top of that, Summer is gently fading away setting us smack in the middle of the no man's land of not-quite-Fall. Hearty winter drinks aren't appropriate and margaritas poolside are definitely iffy. I went through Alice's card file of recipes and a couple recipes basically jumped out at me, the cards laying strewn across the bar. I looked at them carefully, seeing the pattern that segregates different liquors from mixers, Tom from John, and Collins from sour. If you know your drinks you are going to smile at where this took me.

Cocktail of the Week!
Some of you may find today's Cocktail of the Week frustrating. Trust me and relax, it won't be. In fact, if you can just sit back and keep an open mind for just a minute or two we'll all be much happier. Today's cocktail is not the Manhattan, but Alice's father's Manhattan.
